"KNOWING" Neutrinos (Chapter 7)

In the movie "2012" the disasters on Earth started happening because of the large solar eruptions, which created a neutrino spike that was off the charts that was heating the Earth's core. We see in the movie clip from "2012" below that for the first time ever, the neutrinos are causing a physical reaction. 

Right before the movie "2012" came out, there was lots of scientific talk about how a solar flare from the Sun could wipe out the electronics on Earth and basically take our world back to the stone age. There is still plenty of scientific talk to this day about a destructive solar flare happening in the not to distant future.

In 1859, there was one of the largest solar flares known as the Carrington event. It caused auroras all over the world and even affected telegraph wires. If that solar flare where to happen now with all our modern technology, it would be a very dangerous situation. It could possibly be considered an "end of the world" type scenario since technology and communications would be wiped out for many years. Just imagine if refrigerators stopped working, computers stopped working, and of course cellular communications, among other electronic things. Think about the after affects of what could happen because of massive solar flare. A few articles below describe what could happen.

How a Massive Solar Storm Could Wipe Out Modern Technology. And we'd have only minutes to prepare.

In 1859, an invisible wave crashed into Earth. Electrons, swept up like so much detritus in the magnetic current, coursed along telegraph wires. When they met an obstacle, like the hand of a telegraph operator, they crashed through it - delivering a sharp shock.

Papers in telegraph offices caught fire. Even with batteries disconnected, operators found the giddy subatomic stream could carry their messages over vast distances. Lights danced in the sky.

It was the largest solar storm ever recorded. If it happened today, it would jeopardise global telecommunications, knock out orbiting satellites, and threaten to kill astronauts.

We'd have some warning; instruments all over the world and in space now monitor the Sun every second of the day.

But even at the speed of light, a massive solar flare's telltale flash of radiation would leave humanity between just a few minutes and - if we were very lucky - a day to prepare for the wave of charged particles surging toward us through space.

The next morning before sunrise, NASA writes, "skies all over planet Earth erupted in red, green, and purple auroras so brilliant that newspapers could be read as easily as in daylight."
"Indeed, stunning auroras pulsated even at near tropical latitudes over Cuba, the Bahamas, Jamaica, El Salvador, and Hawaii."

In the (mostly) pre-electric world of 1859, most of humanity experienced the storm as little more than a strange light show - if they were even awake to see it. And aside from a few smarting fingers, it doesn't seem to have done anyone long-term harm.

As our world has grown more reliant on electronics in the last century and a half, humanity has had few glimpses of the potential dangers of solar storms to our new infrastructure. NASA records three instances dating back to 1972 of solar storms significantly disrupting daily life.

The latest example came in 2005 when X-rays from a solar flare disrupted satellite-to-ground communication and the GPS system for about 10 minutes - threatening satellite-guided air, sea, and land travel.

But none of those storms come close to the scale of the 1859 monster, known as the Carrington Event.

If a Carrington Event happened today, the world would likely have to deal with the simultaneous loss of GPS, cell phone reception, and much of the power grid. The global aircraft fleet might have to coordinate an unprecedented mass grounding without satellite guidance. Unguarded electronic infrastructure could fail outright.

The best available estimates suggest a modern Carrington Event would cost humanity US$1 trillion to US$2 trillion in the first year and take another four to 10 years to achieve full recovery.

A 2007 NASA estimate found that the damage to the satellite fleet would cost between US$30 billion and US$70 billion.

Fortunately, Carrington Event-level storms seem pretty rare, occurring perhaps once in 500 years. But we have no reliable way of predicting when the next one could happen."

The Solar 'Katrina' Storm That Could Take Out Our Power Grid For Years

John Kappenman, 55, an obscure electrical engineer from Duluth, Minnesota, is determined to save civilization from the mother of all blackouts. If he succeeds, the daily life of billions around the world will continue undisrupted. But if he fails, we may well suffer on a scale that makes even World Wars seem trivial in comparison. 

Over the past thirty years, Kappenman has accumulated a vast and compelling body of evidence indicating that sooner or later a major blast of EMP (electromagnetic pulse) from the Sun, a space weather Katrina, will knock out the electrical power grid and bring society to its knees. 

“Historically large storms have a potential to cause power grid blackouts and transformer damage of unprecedented proportions. An event that could incapacitate the network for a long time could be one of the largest natural disasters we could face,” he declares. A bluff, friendly man, half science nerd, half overgrown farm boy, Kappenman insists that solar EMP blasts the size of those that occurred in 1859 (before society was electrified) and 1921(before the power grid had developed to the point where it played any significant role) would today result in large-scale blackouts lasting for months or years. 

“Electric power is modern society’s cornerstone technology, the technology on which virtually all other infrastructures and services depend... Collateral effects of a longer-term outage [such as would almost certainly result from a massive space weather event] would likely include, for example, disruption of the transportation, communication, banking, and finance systems, and government services; the breakdown of the distribution of potable water owing to pump failure and the loss of perishable foods and medications because of lack of refrigeration. The resulting loss of services for a significant period of time in even one region of the country could affect the entire nation and have international impact as well,” says the NAS report. 

As examined extensively in my book, AFTERMATH, (Broadway/Random House, July, 2010) more than 100 million Americans could be affected by this blackout for months or years. Recovering from a future severe magnetic storm would cost $1 to $2 trillion per year— ten to twenty times the cost of Katrina. Of course, the damage would be immeasurably worse if such a massive, protracted catastrophe were to touch off social unrest sufficient to undermine the agencies and institutions in charge of the reconstruction effort. 

“I would say the odds are against us,” he acknowledged when we first met in April, 2009. Then he choked up a bit. “It’s the social breakdown... During Hurricane Andrew, which only affected several counties in Florida, the worst hit areas, without any electricity or anything, the National Guard, all they could do was leave jugs of fresh water at intersections and hope people would come take them... In the case of space weather the impact areas would cover major portions of the US at the same time, Oil and water pumping would cease, natural gas, too. There would be no ability to refuel a vehicle... rail transport, no ability to supply meaningful support from neighboring unaffected regions, because those regions would be extremely remote. No one keeps fuel at their factories any more, just-in-time manufacturing took care of that. You can’t just restart a nuclear power plant. For one thing, you need the operators to show up.”

The movie "KNOWING" was all about a solar flare destroying Earth and it is loosely based on the Book of Revelation. And like the movie "2012" the solar neutrinos caused a physical reaction. 

In the article below, it discuses that there is strong possibility that solar neutrinos are interacting with the decay rate of radioactive isotopes on Earth, and researchers have seen results that it is happening every 33 days!

The strange case of solar flares and radioactive elements

It's a mystery that presented itself unexpectedly: The radioactive decay of some elements sitting quietly in laboratories on Earth seemed to be influenced by activities inside the sun, 93 million miles away.

Is this possible?

Researchers from Stanford and Purdue University believe it is. But their explanation of how it happens opens the door to yet another mystery.
There is even an outside chance that this unexpected effect is brought about by a previously unknown particle emitted by the sun. "That would be truly remarkable," said Peter Sturrock, Stanford professor emeritus of applied physics and an expert on the inner workings of the sun.

The story begins, in a sense, in classrooms around the world, where students are taught that the rate of decay of a specific radioactive material is a constant. This concept is relied upon, for example, when anthropologists use carbon-14 to date ancient artifacts and when doctors determine the proper dose of radioactivity to treat a cancer patient.

Then, in a series of papers published in Astroparticle Physics, Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research and Space Science Reviews, Jenkins, Fischbach and their colleagues showed that the observed variations in decay rates were highly unlikely to have come from environmental influences on the detection systems.

Going back to take another look at the decay data from the Brookhaven lab, the researchers found a recurring pattern of 33 days. It was a bit of a surprise, given that most solar observations show a pattern of about 28 days – the rotation rate of the surface of the sun.

The explanation? The core of the sun – where nuclear reactions produce neutrinos – apparently spins more slowly than the surface we see. "It may seem counter-intuitive, but it looks as if the core rotates more slowly than the rest of the sun," Sturrock said.

All of the evidence points toward a conclusion that the sun is "communicating" with radioactive isotopes on Earth, said Fischbach.

But there's one rather large question left unanswered. No one knows how neutrinos could interact with radioactive materials to change their rate of decay.

"It doesn't make sense according to conventional ideas," Fischbach said. Jenkins whimsically added, "What we're suggesting is that something that doesn't really interact with anything is changing something that can't be changed."

We can see above that the Stanford professor of applied physics noticed that there was a correlation of radioactive decay and the solar cycle of the Sun every 33 days. He believes that there is a strong possibility that solar neutrinos are affecting physical matter or the rate of decay in radioactive materials. What is fascinating though is that the number 33 is mentioned in the movie "KNOWING".

Searching Lucinda's mobile home, they find pictures of the disasters she predicted, a copy of Matthäus Merian's engraving of Ezekiel's "chariot vision", and a pile of small smooth stones near Lucinda's bed. The last number in the document appears at first to be "33", but they notice that it is really "EE" written backward. They determine that EE means "Everyone Else", representing an Extinction Level Event. The next day, Abby shows John that she has colored in the sun on the Ezekiel's "Chariot vision" engraving. After seeing the image, John gets a revelation as he realizes that this could be how the world will end. He rushes them to the MIT observatory, where he discovers that a massive solar flare will soon reach Earth, making it uninhabitable.

The picture from the movie "KNOWING" shown below shows the last numbers as 33.

But the 33 they found out was actually EE that was written backwards meaning "Everyone Else".

The next day, the character Abby shows the picture of a colored Sun, which shows Ezekiel's wheel. 

A closer picture (below) of what Abby is holding is the picture of the engraving done by Matthaus Merian in 1670. You can see God coming through the Sun, and four beasts below it, with a wheel inside of a wheel next to it (Ezekiel's wheel).

Beyond a doubt, the first chapter of Ezekiel is one of the strangest chapters in Scripture. God appears to the prophet on top of a magnificent throne in order to commission him to prophesy to Israel. What is strange about this appearance is how the prophet describes God’s throne. God is seated above a firmament held aloft by four strange living creatures and wheels within wheels. Ezekiel’s detailed description of each of these elements was so strange and mysterious that young rabbis were forbidden from studying this chapter apparently out of fear that it might lead to unadvised speculation.

This rabbinical prohibition was wise. I remember as a young boy picking up a book that claimed that what Ezekiel was describing wasn’t God’s magnificent throne at all, but an ancient wheel-like U.F.O. That’s right, a U.F.O.! But there is a better and more authentic way to understand this ancient symbolic language than resorting to alien spaceships.

The problem with the book was that it failed to understand the ancient use of symbolism. The author of the U.F.O. book thought Ezekiel’s description was a primitive literal description of an alien spacecraft when what he was really trying to express was certain qualities or abilities of the angels. We know this because later in Ezekiel 10:20, the prophet tells us that the four living creatures were Cherubim.

But you have to give the book some credit. Ezekiel’s description is very unusual: “…their form was human, but each had four faces and four wings, and their legs went straight down; the soles of their feet were round. They sparkled with a gleam like burnished bronze. Their faces were like this: each of the four had the face of a man, but on the right side was the face of a lion, and on the left side the face of an ox, and finally each had the face of an eagle” (Ezekiel 1:5-7, 10).

If Ezekiel was describing angels, why did he give such a strange description of them? Didn’t he know that angels don’t have bodies? Of course he did. His description uses common physical things to point us to the immaterial traits of these magnificent angelic creatures. For example, Ezekiel describes the four faces on each living creature as being that of a man, a lion, an ox and an eagle. Each of these faces points to a special trait that each Cherubim possesses. 

Perhaps the strangest description of all is Ezekiel’s vision of the four wheels within wheels:
“The wheels … were constructed as though one wheel were within another. They could move in any of the four directions they faced, without veering as they moved. The four of them had rims, and I saw that their rims were full of eyes all around” (Ezekiel 1:16-18).

The ancient rabbis understood these wheels to be another type of angel known as the Serafim. This might seem odd at first, but if Ezekiel’s descriptions point to traits, then Ezekiel’s wheels are just another way of describing the traits of these Serafim. His description suggests that there were two wheels in each set facing at a 90-degree angle, so that it can move in any direction without turning.

The reason why Abby in the movie "KNOWING" showed the picture of the colored Sun with Ezekiel's wheel is because right before the destructive solar flare was going to strike Earth, an Ezekiel's like wheel came down to Earth to save the "chosen" children. Stepping out of the Ezekiel's wheel like craft, we see angelic beings appearing known as the "Whisper people" in the movie. We can see the scene here below:

Interesting that the Ezekiel's wheel looks almost exactly like the star gate wormhole machine in the movie "Contact" shown below. 

And here again (below) is Ezekiel's wheel shown in the middle bottom of the picture. Uncanny visual similarities.

Stated in my previous blog, angelic beings are in the 5th dimensional world or the spirit world. And shown in the movies "Interstellar" and the up coming movie "A Wrinkle in Time" in mentions the tesseract. The tesseract is the the thing that interacts with the 5th dimension or can create the 5th dimension. I believe Ezekiel's wheel (a wheel within a wheel) is a tesseract. The tesseract shown below looks like a "wheel within a wheel".

It is the way angelic beings are able to connect or "contact" with us by traveling through the 5th dimension. Ezekiel's wheel (the tesseract) allowed the 5th dimensional beings (angels) come down to Earth, just like how it was depicted in the movie "KNOWING".

Interestingly, Pentecost is mentioned in the movie "KNOWING". This is one of the very few references in a major movie film that actually discusses or mentions Pentecost. Here is the direct quote from "Knowing" that mentions Pentecost:

–     John (Nicolas Cage):  I need to tell you something.  That sermon you preached every year at Pentecost, about the gifts of the Spirit, one was the gift of prophecy.

–     Reverend (John’s Dad):  1 Corinthians 12.  Yes, I remember it.  The church should respect the prophet.

–     John:  I have a prophecy.  It’s about to be proven accurate.  I need you to respect it and receive it as the truth.  This heat we’re experiencing isn’t going to get better.  It’s going to get worse, much worse.  I need you to get Mom and Grace and any supplies you can, and get below ground tonight.  Just get as deep as you can and as fast as you can.

–     Reverend:  I’m sorry, John, but I’m afraid I’m not going anywhere tonight or any night.  I appreciate your concern, but if it’s my time, it’s my time.  I’m ready whenever the good Lord calls me.  Are you?  (The phone then goes dead – the father is later again shown just as he is about to be incinerated!!)

So now we have clues as to the day (“Pentecost”) and the method of Sudden Destruction (“Fire & Destruction”)."

Not only is Pentecost about the Holy Spirit coming to the disciples but it is also about Earth's destruction caused by a large solar flare.

In the Bible, the chapter of ACTS 2, it discusses Pentecost and the coming of the Holy Spirit, but it also mentions that something called the "Day of the Lord", when the Earth will be filled with fire and smoke and the Sun will turn into darkness and the Moon will become blood red.

The Holy Spirit Comes at Pentecost

2 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. ² Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. ³ They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. ⁴ All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

¹⁴ Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: “Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. ¹⁵ These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It’s only nine in the morning! ¹⁶ No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
¹⁷ “‘In the last days, God says,
    I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
    your young men will see visions,
    your old men will dream dreams.
¹⁸ Even on my servants, both men and women,
    I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
    and they will prophesy.
¹⁹ I will show wonders in the heavens above
    and signs on the earth below,
    blood and fire and billows of smoke.
²⁰ The sun will be turned to darkness
    and the moon to blood
    before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.

It mentions above, that Peter said this was what was spoken by the prophet Joel. What the Book of Joel states (below) is very similar to the above verses.

    your old men will dream dreams,

    your young men will see visions.

    before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.

And we see another reference to the Day of the Lord in 2 Peter 3 that eludes to a solar eruption/flare burning Earth (End of the World).

¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.
¹¹ Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives ¹² as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. ¹³ But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.
